Background
The Arizona Conference, and the local church, have a moral and civil duty to protect the children and youth entrusted to its care. The local community also has an expectation that the church will provide a safe haven for children who participate in its ministries. So every 5 years (years ending in zero or five) the Arizona Conference requires that all local church leaders and those working with children, in any capacity, go through a mandatory Child Protection Training session and a background check to help keep our children safe.
